Our Pastor

Christian Eisenbeis was born on June 30, 1979 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. He was baptized at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (WELS) in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. He was confirmed at Heritage Lutheran Church (ELS) in Apple Valley, Minnesota.

Christian graduated from St. Croix Lutheran High School in West St. Paul, Minnesota in 1997. He received his B.A. in Russian from the University of Minnesota in 2000. Two years later he received his M.A. in Slavic Linguistics from the University of Chicago. He has taught modern languages, classical languages, and history at St. Croix Lutheran High School, Martin Luther School in Plzen, Czech Republic, Bethany Lutheran College, the University of Alabama, and the University of Chicago.

In 2009 Christian received his M.Div. from Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary, after serving as a vicar at King of Grace Lutheran Church in Waukon, Iowa. While working full-time as a dispatcher at the Norman, Oklahoma Police Department, Christian was called to be a part-time pastor at Grace Lutheran Church (WELS) in Norman. He was ordained into the public ministry on August 19, 2012. He continued to serve as a dispatcher and pastor until he moved to Marinette, where he was installed as pastor of First Trinity Lutheran Church on January 31, 2016.

Christian married his long-time friend Leah Lintner on July 4, 2003. They have two children: Flora and Henry.
