We’re Glad You’re Here!
Since 1931, First Trinity Lutheran Church has stood as a beacon of God’s grace. Since it is our Savior Jesus Christ who has lived and died and rose again to earn for us the forgiveness of sins and everlasting life, He is at the center of all we do. All of our church groups – whether educational groups, such as Sunday School, Bible class, and Confirmation class; or service groups, such as the Mary-Martha Society, Youth Group, and Church Council – exist to promote faith and fellowship in Christ among our members and in our community.
When you visit our family for the first time, we want you to know how glad we are to have you with us. We also want to feel at home as you follow along with our worship service, which may be unfamiliar to you.
Our congregation follows a liturgical order of service. That means you will hear God’s Word spoken and sung. The Triune God – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – will be praised. The Good News – that Jesus Christ is our Redeemer and Risen Savior – will be proclaimed. And we will all be blessed by God’s grace and forgiveness.
The orders of service that we follow in our service booklets (which you will receive from the usher when you arrive) are taken from the Evangelical Lutheran Hymnary (the black book in front of you in the pew). Most of the hymns we sing are found in this book. The Pastor will also make announcements throughout the service so that you can follow along.
We pray that you will be blessed by God’s Word during your time at First Trinity Lutheran Church. We hope that you will come and worship with us again. We welcome you in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ!
